Blink 182-All The Small Things.

MISE EN SCENE

The mise en scene in this music video includes very dark and grungy looking as in the video they all wear very dark and plain clothing which connects to the music that is playing in the video. The colours involved gives the audience a sence of rebellious and dark personality which in most rock music videos the artists are doing something bad giving off the effect of them being a 'rebel'. The performance of the artists in the video show them being quite silly and like the cant take anything seriously, as they are all messing around quite a lot. Even when the shots of them performing live it shows them being silly making strange facial expressions into the camera, showing the audience that they know how to have a good time. As the audience this makes us more attracted to the song considering it's already catchy to sing, theres also the artists having a good time which attracts the audience as they have something interesting and funny to watch. Furthermore the body language also shows how confident they are infront of the camera, as they have their arms spread out most the time and not being afraid to have a good time in front of everyone else. The lighting is quite light showing this song isn't as serious as typical rock videos which normally have a dark low key lighting included in the mise en scene.

EDITING

The editing in this music video is very quick and fast which matches the song and being very upbeat. This is very coventional as it shows that the artists are all over the place and not really knowing what they are doing which links to the fast paced editing and all the different shots which are included. This creates a confused but exciting feeling as there is so much to watch and as an audience you wouldnt get bored while watching this music video. 

CAMERAWORK

The camerawork included in this music video is very varied. As there is loads of close-ups and long shots. This again makes the video more exciting to watch as it makes it very busy to watch and doesnt make it boring as the audience doesnt want to see the same shots over and over again. There are several close ups of the band playing live which is very conventional of a rock video as they care about their music and instruments and they like to portray this in their videos which is different to say pop videos which include more shots of the artist and they way that they look and the way they are presented, which makes the audience like the rock band.

SOUND

The soundtrack is playing throughout the whole of the music video which is conventional. All the beats and rythms included in the soundtrack will link to the timing of the music to make it all link up and be more conventional, this is important so that the music videos arent confusing for the audience to watch.
